Suspect Flees After Stabbing Roseburg Man

Roseburg, Oregon– Yesterday, at approximately 6:00 AM, the Roseburg Police Department responded to a reported stabbing in the 900 block of NE Willow Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 50-year-old man from Roseburg suffering from a stab wound. Immediate life-saving efforts were initiated, and the victim was then transported to Mercy Medical Center. Later, he was transferred out of the area for further medical treatment.

The suspect, identified as a 20-year-old male from Roseburg, fled the scene before the arrival of law enforcement and has yet to be apprehended despite intensive search efforts involving multiple assisting agencies and a DCSO K9 track. Investigations revealed that both the victim and the suspect are acquainted with each other.

In response to the incident, Roseburg Police detectives, along with counterparts from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police, mobilized to assist in the ongoing investigation. The Douglas County District Attorney’s Office is providing support in the matter.

Authorities have confirmed that there is currently no known ongoing threat to the general public. However, the investigation remains active, and law enforcement urges anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist in the resolution of the case.
