Medford, Oregon– As the American Red Cross continues its mission to safeguard the blood supply, it calls upon donors across the nation to step up and give blood or platelets to address a critical shortfall. Shockingly, statistics reveal that only 3 out of every 100 individuals donate blood, underscoring the urgent need for collective action.
In a new collaboration, the American Red Cross has partnered with Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures to launch a campaign coinciding with the release of the highly anticipated film, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. This initiative aims to rally donors and unite communities to support blood donation efforts.
From March 25 to April 7, individuals who demonstrate their commitment to the cause by donating blood or platelets will receive an exclusive Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and Red Cross T-shirt, available while supplies last. While recent weeks have witnessed a positive upturn in blood supply, the need for donations remains paramount. Every blood type, particularly type O, is essential to replenishing hospital inventories and meeting the ongoing demand for blood and platelets.
To schedule a donation appointment, interested individuals can visit RedCrossBlood.org, download the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or call 1-800-RED CROSS. Moreover, those who donate from April 8 to April 28 will receive a $10 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice, in addition to being automatically entered for a chance to win one of two $7,000 gift cards. As part of its commitment to fostering a culture of giving, the American Red Cross is also pleased to announce upcoming blood donation opportunities from March 27 to April 15. These events provide additional avenues for individuals to contribute to this life-saving cause.
