Pacific Power Prepares for Winter Storm Impact

Pacific Northwest- In anticipation of an impending winter storm set to hit the Pacific Northwest regions, Pacific Power is taking proactive measures to mitigate potential disruptions to the power supply in Oregon, California, and Washington. The meteorology team at Pacific Power is closely monitoring the storm, which is expected to bring strong winds that could result in system interruptions and possible power outages from Monday night through early Wednesday morning.

Pacific Power has mobilized its crews, placing them on standby to respond to any weather-related outages that may occur during the storm. In light of the situation, the company is urging its customers to take essential steps to stay prepared and well-informed:

However, Pacific Power emphasizes the importance of safety during such weather events. Customers are strongly advised to stay away from all downed power lines and utility lines. Even if the lines are not sparking, they could be energized and pose an extreme danger. Additionally, both downed trees and powerlines should be avoided, and pets should be kept far away from these areas.

In the event of an outage, customers are urged to call 911 for emergencies and report the outage to Pacific Power at 1-877-508-5088. These precautions are essential to ensuring the safety of individuals and pets during the storm and assisting Pacific Power in efficiently addressing any power disruptions that may occur.
