


Medford, Oregon- According to the latest leasing information from The Village at the Medford Center, Daiso, a renowned Japanese discount store, has secured an 8,500 sq ft space adjacent to TJ Maxx. This would be the companies first store location in the Oregon market.
Daiso, often referred to as the “dollar store” from Japan, has a global presence of thousands of stores, with 90 stores scattered across the United States. The newly leased corner location in The Village is a strategic move for the company, signaling its continued commitment to expanding its footprint in the US. The company’s largest US store, spanning 17,760 sq ft, is currently situated in Union City, California. US locations typically range from 4,750 sq ft and upwards. The company’s presence in Japan boasts over 3,600 store locations,
With headquarters based in Higashihiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture, Daiso has carved a niche for itself by offering a diverse range of products at affordable prices.
The store’s merchandise, spanning from a couple of US dollars on up, has earned Daiso the reputation of a go-to destination for budget-friendly yet quality items.

As The Village at the Medford Center continues to attract new tenants like Go Air, Daiso’s future arrival brings another unique shopping experience to residents, adding to the diverse and expanding retail landscape of the center.

12/2/24 Update: According to company officials, the new location is expected to open on December 21, 2024. Store hours will be Monday-Saturday 9a-9p, and Sunday 10a-8p.
