On November 17, 2023, at 9:49 PM, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a person leaping from Robertson Bridge. While driving across the bridge, a local individual observed a person dressed entirely in black making the jump. The age and gender of the person remain unknown.
Promptly responding to the report, deputies and emergency services conducted a thorough search in and around the water.
Both Rural Metro Fire Department and American Medical Response joined the effort, but regrettably, no one matching the description was found. The Sheriff’s Office Marine Deputy further scoured the river and shoreline by boat, yet the individual remained unfound.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with additional information about this incident to come forward. Concerned citizens or potential witnesses can contact the Sheriff’s Office at 541-474-5123.
