UPDATE: Jackson County Animal Services have reported that Brutus has been adopted! Medford Alert wishes the best for the new family and a lifetime of love and adventures.
In the heart of Jackson County Animal Shelter resides Brutus, a nearly two-year-old German Shepherd with a heart as big as his paws. Despite his beautiful appearance, Brutus has spent the last 128 days patiently waiting for someone to give him a forever home.
Known for his agility, noble character, high intelligence, loyalty, confidence, and courage, Brutus is a charming companion who takes a bit of time to warm up to new faces. Once acquainted, however, he promises to be the best friend you’ve ever had.
To ensure a smooth transition into his new home, Brutus would benefit from basic training, providing an opportunity for bonding with his future family. Although he hasn’t participated in playgroups, he’s open to meeting any dogs in the potential adopter’s home.

If you’re ready to make a lifelong friend and believe you can provide the love and care Brutus deserves, the Jackson County Animal Shelter encourages you to reach out. You can contact the shelter at 541-774-6654, pressing 5 for adoptions. Take the first step towards welcoming Brutus, or another lovable companion, into your home and heart.
