One Injured After Unprovoked Paintball Gun Attacks

In a concerning turn of events, two incidents involving a dark-colored sedan and paintball gun attacks have left one victim injured. On Tuesday night, at approximately 8:30 pm, a vehicle carrying three unidentified individuals launched unprovoked assaults on pedestrians in separate locations within Grants Pass.

The first incident occurred at the intersection of NW 4th and NW A Streets, where a male was peacefully walking his dogs. The assailants, who were in a dark-colored sedan, fired three rounds from a paintball gun at the victim. Fortunately, all three shots missed, sparing the man and his dogs from harm.

Just minutes later, the same vehicle slowly approached a Hispanic female walking her dog on NW Highland Ave at NW Sunset Dr. Police say the perpetrators told her to “go back to her country” before unleashing four rounds from their paintball gun at point-blank range. One of the rounds struck the victim just below her left eye, causing her injuries.

Local law enforcement is taking these incidents seriously and has launched an investigation into the matter. They are urging anyone with information or video footage related to these attacks to come forward and assist in identifying the suspects.
