Multi-Vehicle Crash on Northbound I5 Causes Temporary Closure

A multi-vehicle crash took place on northbound I5, just south of Ashland, at approximately 10:05 p.m. this evening. The crash involving a dump truck, a half-ton pickup truck, a possibly a third vehicle. It is beloved that that the pickup truck had rolled multiple times during the collision.

Oregon State Police responded to the scene and, for safety reasons, immediately closed off all northbound lanes of the highway south of Clayton Road. In addition to the police, units from the Jackson County Fire District 5 were dispatched to provide assistance.

As of now, the full extent of any potential injuries remains uncertain. Authorities are working to assess the situation and provide appropriate medical attention to at least one individual involved. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible, due to the road closure and ongoing emergency response efforts.

Medford Alert is monitoring the situation and will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.


UPDATE: One northbound lane has been reopened. Traffic is backing up for approximately 2 miles as of 12:26a.
