Firefighters Halt Wildfire Near Rogue Valley Manor Campus

In the early hours of this morning at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Medford Fire Department swiftly responded to a fire that broke out near the Rogue Valley Manor. The fire, situated on the west-facing hillside nestled between the golf course and the Manor’s buildings atop the mid-slope, caused a brief but intense firefighting effort.

Rapid action by the firefighting crews led to the containment of the fire, which was estimated to have consumed an area spanning between 4 to 5 acres. Thankfully, no injuries were reported among residents or responders during the incident, reflecting the efficiency and effectiveness of the emergency response.

As of now, the cause of the fire remains unknown and is under thorough investigation by authorities. Firefighting teams will continue to monitor the site for any lingering hot spots or potential risks throughout the day.
