At approximately 3:31p, multiple Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) and Applegate Valley Fire District (AVFD) units were dispatched to Hamilton Dr (near OR238) in the Jacksonville area for a reported wildfire.
According to ODF, multiple crews, engines, and two helicopters are working the blaze.
The latest estimates have the fire between 3-4 acres. Currently there are no reported damage or injuries.
UPDATE: ODF reports that the forward progress of the fire has been stopped and firefighters on the ground and in the air remain engaged on putting out hot spots. U.S. Forest Service- Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest has also sent resources to assist.
