The Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF), in collaboration with structural partners, responded to a structural fire located west of I5 milepost 60 on Tina Way, northwest of Grants Pass. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the fire had extended into the wildland.

Efficient action from the ODF team led to the prompt extinguishment of the fire, containing it to a mere 1/10th of an acre. Fortunately, there is currently no active fire spreading beyond the structure, allowing firefighters to focus on mopping up and ensuring the situation remains under control. However, they stand ready and available should the circumstances change.
Rural Metro Fire – Josephine County and Grants Pass Firefighters were actively involved in battling the structural fire.
While the fire crews work on managing the situation, smoke will remain visible from the nearby Interstate. The presence of smoke should not be a cause for alarm, as it is a direct result of the ongoing firefighting mop-up efforts.
The incident is under investigation and there has been no reports of any injuries at this time.
