Local Agencies Teaming-Up for Upcoming Rogue Music Fest Safety

The highly anticipated Rogue Music Fest is set to take place this Friday and Saturday, June 16 and 17, at the Jackson County Expo. In order to ensure the safety of concertgoers, law enforcement, firefighters, and medics will be present throughout the event. However, attendees are advised to plan their travel accordingly, as traffic in the area will be significantly impacted.

To accommodate the festival, a portion of Penninger Road will be closed for the duration of the event. Additionally, congestion is expected on Pine Street, Upton Road, 10th Street, and other nearby roads. Temporary speed reductions and no parking restrictions will be in effect to manage the traffic flow. Concert attendees should be aware that the Greenway will be closed between Upton Road and Pine Street.

In collaboration with the Oregon Department of Transportation, Jackson County Roads, City of Central Point, and Gauge It Construction, efforts will be made to improve traffic flows to the festival location. Authorities say they are dedicated to ensuring a smooth experience for all participants during the Rogue Music Fest.
