Detective Sergeant Henrich of the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office reported on an arrest made on June 12, 2023. The arrest followed an investigation initiated on June 7th after the office received information about an adult male attempting to communicate with a minor female online. The messages exchanged contained explicit sexual descriptions, leading to the identification of the suspect, John Morgan.
On the day of the arrest, Morgan agreed to meet the minor female at a local Walmart store. However, law enforcement personnel were prepared, and members of the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office were already in position. Morgan arrived at the location in his vehicle and was promptly apprehended by the authorities. He was subsequently booked into the Josephine County Jail, where he faces charges of Luring a Minor and Online Sexual Corruption.
