Over a Pound of Cocaine Found During Search of Suspects House

Yesterday at 10:30am, the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) Team, with the assistance of the Oregon State Police Southwest Region Drug Enforcement Section and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of West Harbeck Road. Seized during the search warrant was over one pound of cocaine, digital scales, packaging material, a handgun, and over $30,000 dollars in cash and assets.

A 34-year old man Robert Matthew Garland was arrested for Manufacturing and Possession of Cocaine (felony), Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of Marijuana. He was subsequently lodged at the Josephine County Jail.

In mid-May of this year, RADE seized over one ounce of Cocaine, a digital scale, packaging material, and two (2) handguns and arrested 22-year-old Chance Cannon Calaustro for Attempted Distribution of Cocaine (felony), Possession of Cocaine (felony), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. The arrest of Calaustro led to the subsequent search warrant at the above location. Anyone with information regarding the above cases is asked to call 541-450-6371.

No additional information was released by officials at this time.


A criminal complaint is only an accusation of a crime, and a suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
