Oregon Minimum Wage Increasing Again

Yesterday, the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries announced that the minimum wage will increase in Oregon.

There are three categories for determining the minimum wage in Oregon. Portland metro, standard, and non-urban areas all have different minimum wage rates, however all will see an increase.

For the Portland metro, the minimum wage increases to $15.45 an hour. For standard counties (including Jackson and Josephine Counties) rates will go to $14.20 an hour. While non-urban Oregon counties (including Klamath and Douglas Counties) will see the minimum wage increase to $13.20 an hour.

The increases will become active on July 1, 2023.

According to the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, approximately 5% of Oregon workers earned the minimum wage in 2022.
