Earlier today, Illinois Valley Fire District, AMR-Josephine County and Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on the 4000 block of Caves Highway in Cave Junction.
Units arrived and found four occupants in the vehicle. Extrication of the victims from the damaged vehicle was performed. Three patients were transported to a Medford trauma center and also a Josephine County hospital.
One person, after life-saving attempts were performed, was pronounced deceased.
Authorities say there will be no pictures available, and the scene investigation is being conducted by Oregon State Police.
The names of the victims are being withheld until next of kin have been notified.
