At approximately 1:26p today, three Medford Fire Department (MFD) units and several Medford Police (MPD) units were dispatched to the intersection of Dakota and Hamilton in west Medford for a reported multi-vehicle crash (MVC) with rollover.

Dispatchers stated that the 911 callers believed there was a trapped individual in one of the involved vehicles.
Medford Police closed several traffic lanes in the area as there was debris on the roadways as well. One arriving MFD unit had to detour through a nearby neighborhood to access the crash scene due to heavy traffic congestion in the immediate area.

Once on scene, MFD crews began to stabilize the vehicle, which was on its side, to allow other fire personnel to rescue the person who was unable to free themselves from the wreckage.
The victim was extricated from the vehicle in approximately 12 minutes. They were then transported to a Medford area hospital by a Mercy Flights ambulance.
Medford Fire reports that the victim had “minimal” injuries. The affected roads in the area of the crash are all now open.
At this time, there is no additional information available.
