I5 Northbound Mile 0 – 11

Estimated delay of 20 minutes – 2 hours. Winter conditions are occurring. Expect delay’s. Chains required. Traction tires alone are not sufficient. Chains required on all vehicles excluding four-wheel drive vehicles unless towing.

OR140 Mile 21 – 41.5:

Estimated delay of 20 minutes – 2 hours. Winter conditions are occurring. Prepare to slow. Chains required on vehicles towing or over 10,000 GVW.

OR227 Mile 48:

Winter weather conditions have forced the closure of Highway 227 from milepost 42 in Jackson County to near Tiller in Douglas County. More than a dozen cars are stuck in the snow on the Douglas County side of HWY 227 after the closure of I-5 at Canyonville. The Highway will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.

I5 Northbound Mile 66 – 81:

Freeway is closed due to winter weather driving conditions and vehicle tie ups. CHAINS REQUIRED ON VEHICLES TOWING OVER 10,000 GVW.

I5 Northbound 6 Miles South of Oregon Border:

Chains or traction devices are required on all vehicles except four wheel/ all wheel drive vehicles with snow-tread tires on all four wheels. (Four wheel/all wheel drive vehicles must carry traction devices in chain control areas).

I5 Southbound Siskiyou County Exit 789:

All vehicles are being screened & required to have chains to proceed south at Hornbrook,

I5 Southbound 14 Miles North of Yreka:

Chains or traction devices are required on all vehicles except four wheel/ all wheel drive vehicles with snow-tread tires on all four wheels. (Four wheel/all wheel drive vehicles must carry traction devices in chain control areas).
