This is an update to our prior article regarding this crash.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 5000 block of Table Rock Road near Vilas Road.
Onlookers reported the driver swerved across all the lanes of travel before striking a parked vehicle just after 4 p.m. Central Point Police Department responded to assist.
The crash broke off two telephone poles and PP&L responded to disconnect the lines. Oregon Department of Transportation and Jackson County Roads responded to block traffic. The road is now open.
The driver did not need medical attention but exhibited signs of intoxication and was arrested for DUII.
Authorities say that this case is under investigation.
