Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred this afternoon in the 400 block of China Gulch Road in Ruch near Jacksonville.
The suspect is in custody, the victim has been transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
At 12:20 p.m. ECSO dispatch received a call for a gunshot victim being transported to the hospital and a potentially armed suspect back at the location of the shooting.
JCSO Patrol deputies, SWAT, and the Crisis Negotiations Team (CNT) responded to the address along with nearby Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers. Just after 1 p.m.the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
JCSO detectives are on scene investigating the shooting. No additional information is available at this time.
