Two Hospitalized After Serious Crash in Josephine County

Earlier today, Illinois Valley Fire District, AMR-Josephine County, Josephine County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police, responded to a vehicle accident with one person pinned.

Authorities reported that after the vehicle hit a power pole and caused the power lines to fall to the ground, only one passenger was able to self extricate.

One additional vehicle was involved in the accident and remained under the powerlines. This person was not hurt.

Extrication of the victim was initiated and the person was freed from the vehicle. There were two occupants and both were transported with extensive injuries to area Trauma Facilities by AMR. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Josephine County Sheriff’s Department.
