Crews Work Through the Night to Extinguish Large House Fire

Last night at approximately 10:48p, multiple IVFD, Rural Metro Fire – Josephine County and AMR-Josephine County emergency units responded to the 150 block of Hogue Drive for a structure fire. This incident took place just outside of Selma, in Josephine County.

Once on scene, additional units were request due to the overall scope of the incident. Firefighters took a defensive approach to the fight as the house was fully engulfed at time of arrival.

Fire officials say due to the size of the incident, there was extensive mop up. The fire scene was monitored throughout the night to ensure that there were no flare ups. Furthermore, authorities stated there was some spread to the surrounding wildland, but was caught and extinguished by firefighters.

Crews were on scene for just over 8 hours total. 16 various emergency units assisted with this fire.

The fire is under investigation, and there were no reports of injuries at this time
