Talent Police (TPD) officials warn there have been multiple reports of a bear in the area of Summer Place, Creel Road, Talent Ave, and Lithia Way area.
As a reminder, authorities ask the public to consider the following suggestions to minimize encounters.
• Store garbage in a shed or garage.
• Remove outdoor food sources such as pet and bird feeders.
• Take trash cans out the morning of pickup.
• Consider removing fruit and compost piles.
TPD says they are working with Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife regarding the bear sighting. If there is an immediate threat from an animal, officials say to call 911 immediately.
