At approximately 7:46p tonight, Medford Alert began receiving multiple reports of a bright light exploding over the Rogue Valley night skies.
Residents in the Jacksonville area first reported seeing an explosion of sorts hurling through the sky. Ashland residents along with those living in SW Medford also confirm seeing the phenomenon.
Medford Alert is sharing a video that was sent to our Twitter feed from user Adrianxcarr that shows the bright light streaking across the night sky.

We have received witness reports of the bright light from as far away as Klamath County and Redding California.
At this time, it is believed to be a meteor, however that is unconfirmed as of now.
We are currently working to gather additional information regarding this incident.
Saturday Morning Update: Sources have told us that this event was most likely was part of the Taurid Meteor Shower.
