At approximately 6:57p tonight, Jackson County Fire District 5 (JCFD5), Mercy, and Oregon State Police (OSP) responded to northbound I5 at mile 23 for a multi-vehicle crash.


At least one person was treated for injuries on scene and one vehicle was moderately damaged.
Just as emergency crews were clearing the scene, a report of a second crash came into dispatch at 7:32p. The second crash took place at mile 22.5 on northbound I5. This crash was much more serious as it was called in as a rollover.


Due to the serious nature of this crash, authorities have closed all northbound lanes of I5 in the area. A northbound detour is in place at Exit 21 (Talent). Multiple JCFD5, OSP, and other emergency units are on scene.
ODOT does not have an estimate of reopening of I5 currently. The condition of those involved are not known.
