On Wednesday October 5, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies and Search and Rescue (SAR) responded to a man who fell from Lost Creek Falls near Shale City Road outside of Ashland.
Jackson County Fire District 5 (JCFD5) responded along with a SAR rescue helicopter to hoist the subject from the base of the falls.
The man was airlifted to an awaiting Mercy Flights helicopter and is receiving treatment at a Medford area hospital.
The patient’s condition is unknown at this time. No other injuries were reported.
