On September 14th, the City of Medford’s Planning Department will hear developers plans for a nearly 400 unit apartment complex slated for the Northgate area. This project is located just south of Phase 2 of Northgate Marketplace, which includes HomeGoods, Marshalls, and a Dicks Sporting Goods store.

City officials will help dial in the plan for the construction of 21 structures, including 372 multi-family units, club houses, play sports areas and garages to be developed in two Phases. Ten of the buildings will be three-stories each.
Creations Northwest, submitted the proposal to build the multi-family residential units with an approximate square footage of 308,000 square feet. This project is expected to be market-rate housing at this time.

This is a look at what the developers have in store for the site. The plans are for a two phase construction approach. Phase I would roughly border E. McAndrews to the south, and Court to the east. It would be the larger of the two phases and consist of approximately 204 units and the clubhouse along with courts and a playground. Phase II would be east of Phase I, and would take up all the remaining land area. That phase would see 168 units built and a second playground as well.

Preliminary site work has already started for the first phase. That is the parcel that borders N. Central Ave and E. McAndrews Rd.
The next and final step the project will enter into, if approved, will be the design details of the development. Medford Alert will continue to monitor this development and provide updates when available.
