50 Structures Confirmed Destroyed by Mill Fire, No Official Numbers for Mountain Fire Yet

At 4:00 p.m. today, CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 5 assumed command of the Mill and Mountain Fires.

Weather continues to be hot and dry with poor overnight relative humidity recoveries. A number of resources continued to arrive throughout the day, personnel engaged in structure defense and strengthening control lines.

Damage Assessment imagery has been processed; 132 structures have been affected. Damage Inspection teams will begin ground truthing damaged and destroyed structures tomorrow.

CAL FIRE has confirmed that 50 single structures have been destroyed from the Mill Fire. 411 structures remain directly threatened. 1,000 residents remain evacuated, and there have been 3 confirmed civilian injuries. There are 843 total personnel working the Mill Fire as of this evening.

There are 332 people still under evacuation from the Mountain Fire. CAL FIRE does not have any official estimate of structures destroyed or damaged tonight. However, the agency lists 690 structures as threatened. There are 790 personnel working the Mountain Fire at this time.

The Mountain Fire is 4,812 acres and 5% contained, while the Mill Fire is 4,254 acres and 25% contained.
