ODF reports that they have personnel responding with structural partner agencies to a fire near Savage Creek Road, southwest of Rogue River.

At this time, the fire is estimated to be an acre in size, and all forward progress of the fire has been stopped.
Numerous aircraft, including our Type 3 helicopter and Helitack crew, our Type 2 helicopter, air attack platform and a Type 1 helicopter from U.S. Forest Service- Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest are on scene. Firefighters are engaging in an aggressive initial attack from both the ground and the air.
ODF says resources will continue to work to knock down the rest of this fire. Updates will be posted as they become available.
6p UPDATE: The fire is now at 2.5 acres, as ODF reports it’s reached 75% containment. There were some Level 2 door to door, evacuations issued by the Jackson County Sheriffs Office, but those have all been lifted.
