At approximately 12:56p today, fire responders were dispatched to the area of US199 and Circle W Rd for a reported serious traffic crash. This was just north of Selma, in Josephine County.
Upon arrival, authorities closed the highway to allow crews to assist the driver of the vehicle who was reported as being trapped inside. The vehicle was off the road, down an small embankment.
The driver was transported by AMR ambulance to IVFD Station 2, then crews made a connection with Mercy Flights who completed the patient transport.
Traffic on Hwy 199 was shut down for the duration of the call.
IVFD says the scene has been turned over to OSP, who will be conducting the investigation.
Officials remark that traffic will have delays while the vehicle is being removed. No additional information is available at this time.
