Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to Medford, one of the best ways you can get involved and stay informed about the community is by participating in the City of Medford Citizen Academy. This free, eight-session interactive course is a fun way to get to know your municipal government and those who are working for you.

Do you ever wonder how your tax dollars are being spent? Or what the Medford Police Department is actively doing to keep the community safe? How about what recreational programs are available for kids, teens and adults? You can get those questions answered by participating in the academy. You’ll get to learn the inner-workings of Medford by having conversations with officials. You’ll also get to find out more information about the City’s programs and services.
Medford residents 18 years or older are welcome to participate in the academy. If you’re interested in joining, you’ll want to sign up soon – the class size is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants need to attend at least six sessions to receive a certificate of completion for the course. To get started, complete and submit an online application, which you can find by clicking here. If you have any questions or concerns, email communications@cityofmedford.org.
