Multiple fire agencies are working a 1/2 acre grass fire currently outside of Ashland.
Jackson County Fire District 5, Medford Fire, and ODF units are on scene. At least one ODF Type II helicopter has also been activated.

1:24p UPDATE: Two helicopters will begin working the fire shortly. One for recon, one for water bucket drops. One structure currently threatened. No evacuations in place at the moment.
1:39p UPDATE: Fire is under control, forward movement stopped. Most outside fire units being released. No current threat to surrounding structures or vegetation.
