ODF crews are responding alongside the U.S. Forest Service- Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest for a fire that appears to be on Forest Service land within a mile of ODF protection area.
Both agencies currently have resources in the area working to find an acess point to the fire.
This fire is located southeast of Prospect and was found by ODF Detection Center staff.
More information will be posted as it’s available.
UPDATE: RRSNF firefighters are on scene and have estimated it to be half an acre in size. An ODF engine is continuing to the scene to be of assistance. The cause will be under investigation. ODF says there will be no additional updates unless conditions significantly change.
