UPDATE: All lanes are now open

Here is a LINK to the ongoing incident that has snarled southbound I5 traffic this evening.

Interstate 5 is currently down to one lane from milepost 14 to 11 southbound while Oregon Department of Transportation works to clear a semi truck crash.

Jackson County Fire District 5 and Ashland Fire Rescue units responded to a report of two big rigs involved in a crash.

Upon arrival, crews encountered a trapped patient that had to be extricated and transported to a local hospital.
