Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) is investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred in White City last night. There were no injuries as a result of the shooting.
On Sunday night at around 8:21p the suspect vehicle fired upon a parked and unoccupied vehicle on Avenue E near Atlantic Ave. in White City.
The weapon used looks to be a 12-gauge, semi-auto shotgun. The ammunition was small pellet “bird shot.” The victim’s vehicle was struck four times in areas clearly intended to damage and/or “show force.”
The suspect vehicle is presumed to be a silver Kia Forte (1st generation 2010-2013 model) with no plates in the front or rear. The suspects are unknown at this point and JCSO is looking for the public’s help in identifying.
