Driver Arrested in Medford After 115 MPH Police Pursuit

Oregon State Police announced that earlier today, a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle on the southbound 5.

The driver then failed to pull over and instead, decided to attempt to elude the OSP trooper.

At one point, the driver reached speeds of 115 mph, OSP remarked.

OSP terminated the pursuit due to dangerous conditions from the drivers attempt to escape. However, Jackson County Sheriffs (JCSO) units were waiting for the suspect to enter into Jackson County.

JCSO eventually caught the driver in the Medford area, where they were arrested and eventually lodged at the Jackson County Jail.

The suspect is charged with several crimes, including felony attempt to elude, and driving without a valid license.

Police agencies will be out in full force this holiday weekend to ensure driver safety on many roads, highways, and freeways.
