This afternoon, at the end of an intensive investigation, Grants Pass Police Detectives arrested Xavier Bruce Durham, a 22-year-old male, for 1st-degree Robbery, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, 2nd-degree Theft, and Menacing. Detectives identified Durham as the man who had robbed a woman of her purse outside the NW 6th Street United States Post Office on Monday, May 23rd.
As previously reported, Durham threatened the woman with a knife, took her purse and contents, and fled the scene in a waiting vehicle.
The victim was not seriously injured. Durham was lodged at the Josephine County Jail.
