Early this morning, The Illinois Valley Fire District, AMR, Rural Metro Fire – Josephine County, Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, ODOT, and Pacific Power responded to a Commercial Structure Fire at Hwy 199 and West River Street.
Arriving units found a heavy fire evolving from the single story structure. Fire was under-control within 30 minutes, with extensive mop-up
Traffic on 199 and East River was closed while the incident was happening and later opened to one lane on 199.
One firefighter was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center for further evaluation due to suffering a medical issue while on scene. He is reported to be in stable condition at the time the incident was being completed.
