Prescribed Burn Notification: West Bear All-Lands Restoration Project, Anderson Creek Area, Talent
Lomakatsi crews have received clearance from Oregon Department of Forestry to conduct a controlled pile burn on private land along Anderson Creek Road in Talent.
Up to 60 acres of piles will be burned today, 2/23, with operations possibly extending through the end of the week as conditions allow. This is part of the landscape-scale West Bear All-Lands Restoration Project, a project of Rogue Forest Partners, to reduce the risk of severe wildfire to communities and ecosystems in the wildland urban interface west of Bear Creek and the I-5 corridor, from Talent to Jacksonville.
