The Housing Authority of Jackson County has submitted a pre-application to discuss a proposal for a multi-family development (98 units) on three vacant parcels totaling approximately 5 acres. The site is fronted by Orchard Home Drive along its easterly boundary, and is south of Lozier Lane and west of Cunningham Way.
The City of Medford Planning Department is expected to hear the overall presentation at their December 22nd meeting.
Affordable housing is a desperate need for many metro residents, as the current waitlist for some Housing Authority of Jackson County clients is around 2 years.
If approved, construction could begin as early as Spring 2022. This is a developing story, and as more information becomes available, we will update.
