Dangerous Fleeing Suspect Causes Multi-Vehicle Crash

On Thursday, at approximately 4:45pm, Hillsboro Police Officers responded to a Radio Call of a Suspicious Vehicle.

The reporting party advised they saw their stolen vehicle, a Black Ford Expedition, out of Portland parked in front of Shari’s off NW 185th Avenue and Town Center Drive. The suspect, Jacob Forrest, 45 years old, was seated in the driver seat.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but Forrest drove over a berm and the sidewalk. The vehicle entered traffic onto NW 185th Ave, colliding into other vehicles, and was T-boned by a Ford F350. Forrest ran out of the Ford Expedition but was captured a short distance away.

A total of four vehicles were damaged due to the traffic the crash. The female passenger in the Ford Expedition was entrapped and extricated by fire personnel. She had minor injuries.

In addition to Forrest’s multiple outstanding felony warrants the additional chargers were: Felony & Misdemeanor Elude, Hit & Run Vehicle Injury, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, Violation of Restraining Order, and Failure to Report as a Sex Offender.


A criminal complaint is only an accusation of a crime, and a suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
