Firefighters Working Ashland Three-Alarm Fire at The Plaza

This is a developing story, we will continue to monitor and update as more information is available.

At approximately 1:41p, Ashland Fire Rescue was dispatched to 27 N. Main Street, in the heart of The Plaza.

Upon arrival, crews witnessed a large plume of smoke and immediate activated a second alarm.

As firefighters began working the building, more resources began to arrive on scene from Medford Fire and Fire District 5.

At approximately 2:40p, the incident was upgraded to a third alarm. Units from Fire District 3 and Jacksonville sent additional engines to assist.

At this time, there are no reports of injuries. Being this is still an active firefight, we do not know the cause of the fire as the investigation will begin once the scene is safe.
