Official Update and List of Damaged or Destroyed Businesses from Pacific Pride Fire

As of Friday, April 15 the cause of the Pacific Pride Fire remains under investigation and the Medford Police Department has not made any arrests in connection to this incident.

The City is working to connect impacted businesses with Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) liaisons to help owners gain access to buildings. Additionally, the City has partnered with Business Oregon to provide response guidance for local businesses.

Four building structures were damaged or destroyed by the fire and were occupied by the following businesses:

  • Sky High Smoke n’ Accessories – 912 S Central Ave
  • La Clinica – 916 S Central Ave
  • Southern Oregon Printing – 924 S Central Ave
  • La Mota Medford 7 – 241 S Central Ave Ste 5
  • Carson Fuel Pacific Pride – 936 S Central Ave
  • General Equipment / Hotsy Inc. – 950 S Central Ave

The City is working closely with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and DEQ to provide public access to businesses along South Central Avenue.

South Central Avenue from E 13th St. to E Barnett Rd remains closed until further notice due to the massive clean-up effort to avoid further environmental degradation and hazardous conditions for foot and vehicle traffic.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, and NEXGEN Logistics, LLC are engaged in cleanup of petroleum products that were released to Bear Creek and nearby areas during Tuesday night’s fire.
