Officials say information about the shooting will be limited due to the ongoing investigation.
On March 11, 2022, at about 9:53PM, Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Mount Shasta Police Officers were involved in an Officer-Involved Shooting incident that resulted in a fatality. The incident occurred in an unincorporated area of Siskiyou County, outside the city limits of Mount Shasta.
All involved deputies and officers were unharmed and have been placed on paid administrative leave pending completion of an investigation. The local Critical Incident Team is handling the investigation.
