JCSO K9 Helps Apprehend a Stolen Car Suspect in South Medford

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies attempted to pull over a stolen vehicle this morning at 9:51 in the 3900 block of E. Barnett Road in Medford.

The male driver and female passenger fled from the vehicle on foot into pastureland towards a vacant house. The female was detained but the male driver continued to flee.

With the assistance of JCSO K9 Capo, deputies located the male suspect hiding in juniper bushes near a vacant house and he was taken into custody.

The suspect, Floyd Blaine Houx, 41, was lodged at the Jackson County Jail on charges of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, third-degree escape, and second-degree trespass.
