Removal of Crashed Truck Expected to Impact I5 Traffic Today

8:30A UPDATE: Expect delays/congestion northbound due to ‘rolling slowdowns’ as crews remove the crashed truck and trailer from the center concrete barrier. Rolling slow downs allow traffic to clear the crash scene so recovery/removal crews can safely proceed without traffic.

This morning, ODOT says to expect delays on the northbound and also possibly the southbound I5, as crews remove a damaged truck and debris from roadway.

This crash took place on the northbound 5, at mile-marker 70. Approximately 12 miles north of Grants Pass. Officials say the northbound lane is currently blocked from the rollover crash. No information on the drivers condition or any potential injuries were released.

Crews may have to access the scene and help recover the damaged vehicle from both sides of the freeway. The truck is reportedly carrying raw poultry.
