The Jackson County Sheriffs Office has sent out the following information regarding a north metro man that is missing.
Samuel E. McKown
Search and Rescue is attempting to locate a missing person last seen December 1, in the Shady Cove area.
He is considered missing and endangered. Samuel was driving a 1989 Nissan truck with Oregon license plate 361CUG.

12/10/21 UPDATE
JCSO has reported that Samuel McKown was located deceased today in his vehicle following a single motor vehicle crash on Hwy 234. Next of kin has been notified.
JCSO Search and Rescue (SAR) fixed-wing aircraft spotted his vehicle while conducting a coordinated search effort with ground crews and K9. JCSO Medical Examiner detectives and Oregon State Police troopers are investigating the crash.
JCSO thanks the SAR volunteers that came out to help search.
